Frank Dux enters the infamous Kumite Tournament in Hong Kong to make his sensei proud. Van Damme's breakthrough film may not have the best story or acting ever, but the film is a lot of cheesy fun. And the fight scenes are well shot and cut. The synth music by Paul Herzog deserves a special mention since it is a classic in it's on genre. A very nostalgic film for me and a film which I can watch anytime again and again! The Capelight Pictures brings new the film in 4K time and man does it look good. Picture has lots of detail, especially those wide delicious shots of Hong Kong streets. Some of the shots are out of focus but that is to be expected from a film of this era. The color is very lifelike, and blood is RED! This restauration looks film like and is easily the best release this film has ever gotten. There is even a Dolby Atmos track and lots of new interviews!
